Evgeny Khukhro’s collaboration with Novosibirsk University and Sobolev Institute of Mathematics

Evgeny Khukhro visited Novosibirsk from 2 to 9 August 2018. He participated in the seminars “Group Theory” and “Algebra and Logic” at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics and Novosibirsk University. Evgeny had discussions with Professors Andrei Vasil’ev and Natal’ya Makarenko on problems about automorphisms of finite p-groups. Discussions with Professors Victor Mazurov and Danila Revin concerned managing the Kourovka Notebook (of unsolved problems in group theory). Evgeny Khukhro’s collaboration with Novosibirsk algebraists is part of the research project “Study of the structure of groups and algebras; algorithmic problems in groups and algebras and their applications” supported by a £750,000 grant 14-21-00065 of the Russian Science Foundation in 2014–18.
