Two Lincoln algebraists spoke at the “Totally Disconnected Locally Compact Groups via Group Actions” Online Workshop in Banff

In the week of August 15–20, 2021, Simon Smith and Anitha Thillaisundaram gave talks as invited speakers at the “Totally Disconnected Locally Compact Groups via Group Actions” workshop, organised as an online event and hosted by the Banff International Research Station. Simon spoke on a local-to-global complement to Bass-Serre Theory, and Anitha spoke on maximal subgroups of groups acting on rooted trees.
