Symbolic Enumeration in Algebra (SEA): Inaugural Meeting in Bielefeld

On July 18–19, 2024, the inaugural meeting of Symbolic Enumeration in Algebra (SEA) took place at Bielefeld University. SEA is a new series of working seminars bringing together researchers interested in symbolic enumeration problems in algebra, with rich connections to algebraic geometry, number theory, and combinatorics.

The event featured invited talks by Ana Botero (Bielefeld) and Alex Fink (Queen Mary University of London), and provided a collaborative space for exchanging ideas and exploring both theoretical and practical tools in the field.

One of the Lincoln algebraists Paula Lins (University of Lincoln) is one of the organisers of the SEA seminar series, alongside Angela Carnevale (University of Galway), Joshua Maglione (University of Galway), Tobias Rossmann (University of Galway), and Christopher Voll (Bielefeld University).

It was a great start to what promises to be a stimulating and productive series of meetings!
