Conference picture with (not all) participants

The research workshop “Trending Aspects in Group Cohomology” was held from 2 to 3 July 2024 at the Charlotte Scott Research Centre for Algebra of the University of Lincoln.
Experts and young researchers gathered in Lincoln to report / learn about recent developments in the theory of group cohomology, covering a wide range of topics. The full programme, including abstracts for all presentations, can be found here.

The event was supported by two grants secured by Dr Yuri Santos Rego: one from the London Mathematical Society, and another from the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research.

Keynote speakers were Dr Ilaria Castellano (Bielefeld, Germany), Prof Dawid Kielak (Oxford), Prof Peter Kropholler (Southampton), and Prof Brita Nucinkis (Royal Holloway, London).
Besides an introductory lecture about group cohomology, the event also had talks by early career researchers Dr Ged Corob Cook (Lincoln), Gabriel Corrigan (Glasgow), Alexandra Embleton (Royal Holloway, London), Anja Meyer (Manchester) and Julian Wykowski (Cambridge).

There were multiple coffee/tea breaks during the event and lively mathematical discussions among all participants, with a conference dinner held at the evening of the first day in the heart of Lincoln’s historic city centre.
