One day conference held at the University of Lincoln on elementary amenable totally disconnected locally compact groups

Ged Corob Cook speaking at the conference

On 10th January 2025, a one-day conference was held at the University of Lincoln on elementary amenable totally disconnected locally compact groups. The meeting was funded by the EPSRC and by the London Mathematical Society as part of the join research group between the Universities of Lincoln, Lancaster and Oxford.

The speakers were:

  • Sofiya Yatsyna from Royal Holloway, University of London who spoke about Cohomological finiteness properties of tdlc groups
  • Ged Corob Cook from the University of Lincoln who spoke about Finiteness conditions for elementary amenable tdlc groups
  • Brita Nucinkis from Royal Holloway, University of London who spoke about Topological Artin Groups

All the talks were wonderful, and many attendees joined us afterwards for a very pleasant dinner in Lincoln.
