The international conference “Lie and Jordan Algebras, their Representations and Applications VI”, December 13–19, 2015, Bento Goncalves (Brazil), was dedicated to Efim Zelmanov’s 60th birthday. (A Fields Medal laureate, Prof. Efim Zelmanov is a member of the external advisory board of Lincoln School of Mathematics and Physics—see his brief bio therein.) The conference attracted an exceptionally strong body of participants—leading mathematicians from all over the world. Reflecting broad interests and deep results of Zelmanov, talks were given on associative, alternative, Jordan, and Lie algebras, finite, infinite, profinite, algebraic groups, algorithmic aspects of algebra, etc. (See Evgeny Khukhro’s talk below.)
Apart from the scientific programme, the participants enjoyed the hospitality of the Brazilian organizers, as well as an excursion to the wineries in this leading wine-making region of Brazil.
