Grant of the London Mathematical Society

Dr Simon Smith has successfully secured a grant of the London Mathematical Society supporting a visit to UK of an academic from New York, Dr Phillip Wesolek. One of the main objectives of this visit is establishing collaboration with the researchers in the Algebra group at University of Lincoln. Areas of mutual interest include totally disconnected locally compact groups, which have connections with infinite permutation groups (Dr Simon Smith) and profinite groups (Dr Anitha Thillaisundaram).
