Algebraic conference in Lincoln on totally disconnected locally compact groups

On Friday the 13th of April 2018 a one-day algebraic conference was conducted at the University of Lincoln “The category of totally disconnected locally compact groups“.  The conference was supported by a grant of the London Mathematical Society as part of the Joint Research Group on Functor Categories of Groups. Other meetings in this series will be at University of London Royal Holloway in September and at the University of Lancaster in December. The speakers in Lincoln included Simon Smith (Lincoln), Corina Ciobotaru (Fribourg, Switzerland) and Dugald Macpherson (Leeds). The talks attracted keen interest of the audience reflected in numerous questions and discussions, which continued during the coffee break and subsequent conference dinner.
