Fruits of research collaboration of algebraists of Lincoln and Brasilia

During Evgeny Khukhro’s research visit to University of Brasilia in July of 2018 (supported by a grant of CNPq-Brazil) two research projects came to fruition, and a third one is about to bear fruit.  A joint paper with Pavel Shumyatsky (Univ. of Brasilia) Compact groups all of whose elements are almost right Engel has been submitted to a journal. Another joint paper Right Engel-type subgroups and length parameters of finite groups with Pavel Shumyatsky and Gunnar Traustason (Univ. of Bath, UK) has also been finalized and submitted. A third paper Profinite groups with a coprime automorphism of prime order with right Engel fixed points is being prepared jointly with Cristina Acciarri (Univ. of Brasilia) and Pavel Shumyatsky.
