Furthering research collaboration of algebraists of Lincoln and Brasilia

Evgeny Khukhro is visiting University of Brasilia in July 2019 for research collaboration with Pavel Shumyatsky on profinite and compact groups satisfying generalized Engel conditions. His visit is partially supported by a 6,000 BRL grant of CNPq-Brazil. The research focuses on  extending the results obtained earlier to the case of pro-p groups, profinite groups, and compact groups in which every element has a countable Engel sink. A new joint research paper is planned.
