Forthcoming conference on group theory

International conference “Finite and Residually Finite Groups” celebrating Pavel Shumyatsky’s 60th birthday will take place in Bilbao (Spain), from 27th to 30th of May, 2020. Prof. Shumyatsky is a member of the Advisory Board of the Lincoln School of Mathematics and Physics and maintains close research links with Lincoln.

Invited Speakers: Rostislav Grigorchuk (Texas A&M University), ​Evgeny Khukhro (University of Lincoln), ​Mahmut Kuzucuoğlu (Middle East Technical University), Andrea Lucchini (University of Padova), ​Mercede Maj (University of Salerno), ​Avinoam Mann (University of Jerusalem), ​Marta Morigi (University of Bologna), Aner Shalev (University of Jerusalem), ​Said Sidki (University of Brasília), Pavel Zalesski (University of Brasília), ​Efim Zelmanov (University of California San Diego).

The format for the conference  will also  include a limited number of contributed talks  and a poster session. Further details, including how to register and how to submit a talk/poster proposal, can be found at the conference website.
