Algebraists of Lincoln and Brasilia forge ahead research collaboration despite adversity

Despite current disruptions to international travel and cancelled conferences, Evgeny Khukhro continues fruitful collaboration with Pavel Shumyatsky (University of Brasilia) on profinite and compact groups satisfying generalized Engel conditions. Their latest results have now been submitted as a paper “Compact groups in which all elements have countable right Engel sinks“, which extends the results obtained  in the previous recent paper to the case of pro-p groups, profinite groups, and compact groups in which every element has a countable right Engel sink.
