Big EPSRC research grant awarded to a Lincoln algebraist

Dr Simon Smith was awarded a £422,000 EPSRC standard grant to investigate the local isomorphism relation for permutation groups and tdlc groups. Congratulations! This is one of the biggest grants for research in pure mathematics.
