Algebraic Conference on Beauville Groups in Lincoln

On Friday the 28th of January 2022, the University of Lincoln will host a hybrid one-day conference on Beauville groups. This event is part of the Functor Categories for Groups Joint Research Group meetings, supported by a London Mathematical Society Scheme 3 Grant.

Our speakers will be Gareth Jones (University of Southampton), Şükran Gül (TED University, Ankara) and Ben Fairbairn (University of London, Birkbeck).

All talks will be held in hybrid form in room JUN0003 at the University of Lincoln.

The timetable is as follows, where all times are given in Greenwich Mean Time:

13.15-14.15: Gareth Jones (University of Southampton), talk title to be confirmed

14.20-15.20: Şükran Gül (TED University, Ankara), talk title to be confirmed

15.20-15.50: tea and coffee break

15.50-16.50: Ben Fairbairn (University of London, Birkbeck), Beauville Questions, Problems & Conjectures
