Evgeny Khukhro’s invited plenary talk at an international algebraic conference in Bilbao

Evgeny Khukhro gave an invited plenary talk at the international conference “Finite and Residually Finite Groups” celebrating Pavel Shumyatsky’s 60th birthday, which took place in Bilbao (Spain),  on 20–23 June, 2023. Prof. Shumyatsky is a member of the Advisory Board of the Lincoln School of Mathematics and Physics and maintains close research links with Lincoln.

At the beginning of the conference, a keynote speech “What is mathematics?” was delivered by Prof Efim Zelmanov, a Fields Medal laureate, who is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Lincoln School of Mathematics and Physics, and who inaugurated the school in 2016.
