Evgeny Khukhro visiting Shenzhen International Center for Mathematics

Evgeny Khukhro is visiting the International Center for Mathematics at the Southern University for Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China. His month’s stay includes research collaboration and discussions with leading specialists in Lie algebras and group theory including Fields Medalist Prof Efim Zelmanov (who is also an Honorary Doctor and a member of Advisory Board for mathematics in Lincoln). On 19 February Evgeny gave a talk at the ICM’s seminar “Local–global generation properties of commutators in finite groups”; a PDF handout of the talk is available here.
