Algebraic research visits to Lincoln

Prof. Gustavo Fernandez-Alcober (University of the Basque Country, Bilbao) and Dr Şükran Gül (University of the Basque Country, Bilbao) were visiting the Charlotte Scott Research Centre for Algebra in Lincoln from the 26th to the 31st May 2019. Anitha, Gustavo, and Şükran continue their collaboration on the Hausdorff dimension of branch groups, started earlier during Anitha’s visit to Bilbao. This research was partially supported by Anitha Thillaisundaram’s Staff Mobility Award from the Lincoln Institute of Advanced Studies.

From the 27th of May to the 8th of June 2019, Dominik Francoeur (University of Geneva) visited the University of Lincoln to collaborate with Anitha Thillaisundaram on maximal subgroups of branch groups. This research visit was supported by the London Mathematical Society Scheme 4 Research in Pairs Grant.
