In May 2019, Anitha Thillaisundaram visited the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao to collaborate with Gustavo Fernandez-Alcober, Şükran Gül and Elena Di Domenico on projects involving groups acting on rooted trees. This visit was partially supported by a Lincoln Institute of Advanced Studies Mobility Grant. Anitha also participated in a course at the Autonomous University of Madrid on “Growth and relations of graded rings”, which also included Golod–Shafarevich groups.
