Simon M Smith was an invited speaker at Groups in Madrid 2021

Simon M Smith was one of the invited speakers at the 2-day workshop “Groups in Madrid 2021”, held 25th-26th November 2021 in Madrid, Spain. He spoke about his joint work with Colin Reid on building a structure theory of local-to-global universal groups acting on trees that is akin to Bass-Serre Theory.

The other invited speakers at the workshop were Kai-Uwe Bux (U. Bielefeld, Germany), Indira Lara Chatterji (U. Nice, France), Tadeusz Januszkiewicz, Dawid Kielak (U. Oxford), Brita Nucinkis (Royal Holloway, U. London) and Colva Roney-Dougal (U. St Andrews).
